Behind 15-year-old Brooklyn’s contagious smile is a social butterfly with a very brave heart. Diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia, Brooklyn has undergone months of intense chemotherapy which has included close to 60 days in the hospital for fevers, sicknesses, and various treatments.
Even though times haven’t always been easy, Brooklyn hasn’t let her trials dull the positive glow she radiates. She loves hanging out with friends, going to the movies, reading, shopping, camping, and even doing a bit of needlework.
Brooklyn had a hard time deciding on her wish, toying with the ideas of going sky diving, taking a Caribbean Cruise, or being on the “Psych” television show. However, visions of the sparkling Eiffel Tower and the Louvre led to her final wish, to take a once in a lifetime trip to the diverse city of Paris. She could hardly wait to take in all the breathtaking views, and taste the delicious food.
At last she was on her way. She had a blast exploring all of the culture and magic that Paris has to offer. She was thrilled to see sites and experience things that most people only read about in books. The memories she and her family created on her wish trip will be cherished forever.
