During Brad’s tenure on the Make-A-Wish® Utah Board, the organization has experienced double-digit growth in wishes granted and funds raised, making it one of the fastest-growing chapters in the country.
“Make-A-Wish® Utah has benefited greatly from Brad’s leadership and support while serving on the board and as board chairman,” said Jared Perry, CEO of Make-A-Wish® Utah. “We have been able to grant an unprecedented number of wishes and engage donors across the state.”
Brad is the co-founder and CEO of Salt Lake City-based Walker Edison—a leading partner in the e-commerce home furnishings space that has been recognized as one of Utah’s fastest-growing companies and as an international business powerhouse.
During Brad’s six years on the board, Make-A-Wish® Utah helped grant over 1,200 wishes to children across the state. During this same time, Make-A-Wish® Utah established a groundbreaking endowment that will continue to grant wishes into perpetuity and transitioned the organization from an event-based fundraising model to an entrepreneurial model that focuses on donor relations and community engagement.
“I feel extremely fortunate to have played a small role in the success of this organization and its world-class team,” said Brad Bonham. “I have stood in the presence of giants and our family will continue to support the tremendous mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
Make-A-Wish ® Utah is excited to announce that current board member Tara Thue has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board. As President of Mountain West States for AT&T, Tara Thue brings experience and passion for the mission of Make-A-Wish Utah.
“For every wish granted, there are amazing people and organizations that stand behind our wish kids with the sole purpose of bringing hope and joy,” said Jared Perry, CEO of Make-A-Wish ® Utah. “I’m fortunate to have worked with Brad and I look forward to Tara’s leadership.”
