I was diagnosed with a brain tumor when I was five years old. The doctors found the tumor the night of November 6, 2014 and I had surgery to remove the cancer the very next morning. I had thirty rounds of radiation which only allowed me to have weekends, Christmas and New Year’s Day off. The chemo caused hearing loss but luckily the surgery got rid of 98% of the tumor. My family called me a trooper! One day, while receiving treatment I was watching Dinosaur Train with Dr. Scott Sampson and knew I had to meet him because I love dinosaurs. I was able to dig fossils with a real life paleontologist! My wish gave me something to look forward to and made the last few treatments go by a lot faster. It was awesome to be able to do something normal with my family, outside of the hospital.
