Three-year-old Christopher loves Mickey Mouse. He has other favorites, among which are cars, playing outside, singing, and art; but above all else, Mickey Mouse tops the charts.
At the incredibly young age of two years old, Christopher received a heart transplant and was given the opportunity to make a wish. Being the radical Mickey Mouse fan he was, Christopher immediately knew he wished to go to Walt Disney World® and meet his favorite cartoon character.
At the theme park, Christopher and his family loved riding the carousel and swimming at their hotel. When the time finally came to meet Mickey Mouse, Christopher was beyond excited. He and his family entered a private room and were greeted by the mouse himself, where Mickey led Christopher in dancing and laughing, then handed out hugs for the entire family.
Today, Christopher is learning to read and write as he prepares to start pre-school. His mom says that his wish had a very positive impact on Christopher’s health. She explained that when times are hard, Christopher and his family are able to think back on all of the fun times they had together at the park and relive those happy moments.
