Damien’s love of building things started when he was a baby. After he mastered his blocks, Damien, who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, quickly graduated to
LEGOs, and has been snapping shapes into place ever since. When Damien isn’t focused on building legendary LEGO landscapes, he’s playing LEGO video
games or watching LEGO movies. Nothing is more exciting for Damien than seeing his favorite worlds come to
When Damien was asked to make a wish, he made it based on flawless reasoning. According to Damien, “the
LEGO movie is the funniest movie in the world, and when you go to LEGOLAND, you can touch the LEGOs that
were in the movie!”
To LEGOLAND it was! Damien and his family flew to Florida to embark on their angular adventure. Damien could
hardly contain himself! Finally, LEGOs really came to life! Damien jittered with joy as he got to play with LEGOs
while he waited to ride LEGO rides. His favorite was the Chima ride, where he got to go on a quest for a CHI, a
special stone in the world of Chima—he even got a Chima sword and shield!
Before the fun was over, Damien got to leave his very own LEGO legacy by crafting his name on a LEGO wall.
Now everyone will know that Damien, LEGO-master and architect extraordinaire, experienced the world of
LEGOs at its finest.
Damien may have had the experience of a lifetime, but that in no way means he’s moved on from his passion.
Now that Damien’s home, he’s back to his old ways—playing LEGO video games and nimbly hopping around
his LEGOs (he may love them, but he’s not about to step on one. Ouch!)
