Brinn is a sweet, active 4-year-old girl who loves coloring, dancing, hiking, and exploring outdoors. She enjoys inspecting bugs and flowers, and loves all things purple. As Brinn looks forward to beginning kindergarten in the fall, cancer treatments are the furthest thing from her mind, and rightly so.
Brinn has been in remission from Wilm’s tumor treatments for eight months and has loved the accompanying freedom from poking, prodding, and hospital rooms and labs. Thankfully, she has begun regaining energy and strength—a long awaited day for Brinn’s parents who were forced to watch their daughter go through an emotionally and physically painful journey during her medical treatments. Although always confident of Brinn’s recovery, a cancer diagnosis is a scary process and Brinn’s mom said that when Brinn had the opportunity to make a wish, the process gave her life during a trying time.
For her one true wish, Brinn declared she wanted to visit her favorite theme parks and meet her favorite characters. Her trip to Orlando was the first time Brinn had ever ridden on a plane, been on a vacation, or ridden a roller coaster! Brinn and her siblings met all of their favorite movie characters, and enjoyed staying at Give Kids the World Village®—a nonprofit resort catered to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Brinn’s mom described the trip as a “healing celebration of Brinn’s life.” She explained “it was a magical experience that our family will never forget.”
