Along with making dreams come true for the children of Utah, Andrew is an Interactive Multimedia Instruction Developer/Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of Development in the U.S. Air Force. For the last 10 years, Andrew has been an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force. He has served a contingency deployment to Guam and three presidential support missions.
In 2012, Andrew moved to Utah and his adventure with Make-A-Wish began. Eager to help out in the community and learn about the area, he signed up to volunteer. Being with Make-A-Wish for a short amount of time hasn’t changed Andrew’s enthusiasm. While he embraces his role as a wish granter, assisting on wishes that range from traveling to the Caribbean to shopping sprees, he also manages the Make-A-Wish Utah website, lending a watchful eye and helping hand to the staff.
In 2013, Andrew was asked to help with the redesign of the Make-A-Wish Utah website. His skills are a great asset in helping share the mission of Make-A-Wish. Andrew was also asked by the national office to assist with providing additional support and resources to other chapters. To date, Andrew has created the websites for the Utah, South Carolina, Arizona, and Guam chapters.
His passion for helping others is inspired by his dream to make his community a better place. He believes in bringing happiness to those around him. “Make-A-Wish has made me a better person, and I want people to be as inspired as I am from the impact and power that the wish experience holds,” he says.
